Fabuwood Cabinets
Fabuwood is the largest cabinet line we stock, and it is the line most Home Craft Studio customers end up choosing. This page is the complete buying guide: how the three construction series differ, which door styles and finishes we carry, how Fabuwood pricing is packaged, and how to see the doors in person at one of our New Jersey or Brooklyn showrooms.
Who makes Fabuwood cabinets
Fabuwood Cabinetry Corp is headquartered at 69 Blanchard Street in Newark, New Jersey, roughly fifteen minutes from our Clifton showroom. The company employs more than 1,400 people, operates a million-square-foot Newark facility, and ships over 5,000 cabinets a day. In 2026 Fabuwood was named the Kitchen Cabinetry category winner in the KBB Readers Choice Awards for the sixth time.
Fabuwood sells only through authorised dealers, so you will not find a direct-to-consumer checkout on the manufacturer site. Home Craft Studio is a stocking dealer, which is why you can walk into a showroom, open a real drawer, and compare two door styles side by side rather than judging from a screen. If you are still weighing brands, our 2026 cabinet brand comparison puts Fabuwood next to the other lines we carry.
The three Fabuwood construction series
Before you pick a colour, pick a construction type. This single decision drives storage capacity, interior finish, drawer build and price more than any door style does.
| Series | Construction | Box material | Interior | Drawer box | Base | Hardware |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Allure | Traditional American framed | Plywood | Veneered natural wood | Solid wood dovetail | Built-in recessed toe kick | Blumotion soft-close slides |
| Illume | European-style frameless | Furniture board | White linen | Metal BLUM Merivo box | Adjustable legs | Blumotion soft-close slides |
| Ovela | American-style frameless | Plywood | Veneered natural wood | Solid wood dovetail | Built-in recessed toe kick | Blumotion soft-close slides |
Home Craft Studio stocks Allure and Illume, plus Fabuwood value lines Quest and Value Premium. Ovela is available to order rather than held in our stocking programme, so ask a designer for lead times if that is the construction you want.
Framed or frameless: how to decide
Allure uses a solid wood face frame attached to the front of the cabinet box. The frame adds rigidity and gives you the traditional American look, with a visible reveal between doors. Illume drops the face frame entirely and mounts doors and drawers straight onto the box, which widens the openings and gives you more usable storage per linear foot. As a rule of thumb: choose Allure for traditional, transitional and shaker-led kitchens, and Illume for flat-panel contemporary kitchens where you want maximum drawer capacity and an unbroken run of fronts.
Layout decides more of your result than either choice does, which is why we recommend reading why layout matters more than finishes before you lock a series.
Fabuwood door styles we stock
Each series carries its own door styles. These are the profiles we hold on the floor and in our stocking programme.
| Door style | Series | Profile |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy | Allure | Classic shaker with subtle inner edges |
| Fusion | Allure | Transitional shaker with detailed edges |
| Luna | Allure | Slim shaker |
| Nexus | Allure | Transitional wide shaker with detailed inner edges |
| Catalina | Illume | Flat panel slab with applied gloss, matte or textured surface |
| Tuscany | Illume | Wide shaker with applied matte or textured surface |
| Metro | Quest | Traditional shaker with detailed inner edges and partial overlay |
| Discovery | Quest | Classic shaker with subtle inner edges and partial overlay |
| Hallmark | Value Premium | Traditional shaker with raised panel and detailed edges |
We also stock Imperio and Onyx doors in the Allure series. Both are older profiles, so confirm current availability with a designer before you specify a full kitchen around them.
Shaker is still the volume seller
Seven of the nine profiles above are a shaker variant, which tracks with what we sell. If you want the shaker look in white, browse white kitchen cabinets; for warmer options see light finishes and medium finishes, and for the darker end of the range, dark cabinet colours. The wider trend behind that is covered in why natural wood is replacing white.
Fabuwood finishes carried at Home Craft Studio
Colour availability is style-specific, not brand-wide. These are the combinations currently in our catalogue.
Allure
Galaxy: Frost, Dove, Linen, Horizon, Nickel, Timber, Mocha, Cobblestone, Indigo, Desert Oak. Fusion: Dove, Oyster, Stone, Nickel, Kona, Timber. Luna: Dove, Indigo, Kona, Timber, Desert Oak. Nexus: Frost.
Illume
Catalina: Bianco Gloss, Bianco Matte, Grigio Gloss, Carbone Matte, Como Ash, Muratti, Nocce, Olmo. Tuscany: Como Ash, Muratti, Nocce, Olmo.
Quest and Value Premium
Quest Metro: Frost, Java, Mist. Quest Discovery: Frost. Value Premium Hallmark: Frost.
Two-tone kitchens pairing a light perimeter with a darker island are the fastest-growing request we get in this range, and Fabuwood makes that easy because the same door profile is offered in several colours. See two-tone kitchen cabinets and the 2026 kitchen colour palette for pairings that hold up.
How Fabuwood pricing works here
Fabuwood does not publish a consumer price list, and any PDF circulating online is a dealer document that will be out of date. Home Craft Studio prices Fabuwood two ways:
- Door samples. The products on this page are individual door samples so you can hold the real finish against your floor, countertop and lighting before committing.
- Complete kitchen packages. Full Fabuwood kitchens are sold as pre-configured packages in three layout sizes: 10x10, 12x12 and 15x15. Current package pricing is shown on each product page in signature kitchen cabinet deals and kitchen deals.
A 10x10 is the industry benchmark layout used for comparing brands, not a promise about your kitchen. For a figure based on your actual footprint, use the kitchen price estimator or bring your dimensions to a showroom. Every Fabuwood quote we issue is covered by our price match guarantee, and financing is available.
Cabinets are rarely the only line item. The hidden costs of kitchen renovations walks through the countertop, backsplash and plumbing knock-on costs that decide whether a budget holds.
Fabuwood warranty coverage
Fabuwood applies a Limited Lifetime Warranty to Allure, Illume, Value Premium, Quest and Valencia series cabinets purchased on or after 1 October 2024. Value Premium and Quest cabinets bought before that date, and Allure or Illume cabinets bought before 26 January 2023, fall under the earlier Limited 5-Year Warranty instead. Coverage runs to the first residential purchaser and is not transferable to a later owner of the home, and it does not extend to countertops, appliances or plumbing fixtures supplied by others. Register the warranty after installation so the paperwork is on file before you need it.
Natural variation in wood colour, grain, mineral streaking and knots is expected and is not treated as a defect, which is one more argument for judging a finish from a physical sample rather than a photograph. Once installed, follow our cabinet care guide to keep the finish inside warranty terms.
Completing the kitchen
Most Fabuwood projects we run are specified alongside the surfaces and fixtures. Browse quartz countertops, backsplash tile and kitchen sinks in the same visit. If you are undecided between surfaces, quartz vs quartzite covers the trade-offs for a New Jersey or New York kitchen, and floor-to-ceiling cabinets explains how to use the wall height Fabuwood offers.
Comparing Fabuwood against the other lines on our floor is easy in one trip. We also carry Forevermark Cabinets by TSG, St. Martin Cabinetry, CNC Cabinetry, J and K Cabinetry and Shiloh. The full range sits in kitchen cabinets, and our cabinet buying guide explains how the brands differ. If you are weighing new cabinetry against a surface-level update, read cabinet refacing vs replacing first.

Fabuwood cabinets: frequently asked questions
Are Fabuwood cabinets good quality?
Fabuwood sits in the stock and semi-stock tier rather than the custom tier, and it is built to that standard well. Allure cabinets use plywood boxes, solid wood dovetail drawer boxes and Blumotion soft-close hardware, which is above what most stock lines offer at the same price. Illume uses furniture board with a BLUM Merivo metal drawer box. If you need non-standard sizes or a bespoke colour match, a semi-custom or custom line is the better fit.
What are Fabuwood cabinets made of?
It depends on the series. Allure boxes are plywood with a veneered natural wood interior and a solid wood dovetail drawer box. Illume boxes are furniture board with a white linen interior and a metal BLUM Merivo drawer box. Both series use Blumotion soft-close slides.
Where are Fabuwood cabinets made?
Fabuwood Cabinetry Corp is based in Newark, New Jersey, where it runs a million-square-foot facility. Its warranty covers cabinets imported to and assembled and sold in the United States and Canada.
Is Fabuwood better than KraftMaid?
They compete in different tiers, so the honest answer is that it depends on what you need. KraftMaid is a semi-custom line with a wider size and modification catalogue. Fabuwood is a stock and semi-stock line with faster availability and a lower entry price. Home Craft Studio does not carry KraftMaid, so we cannot quote it. What we can do is put a Fabuwood door in your hand next to the other lines we do carry.
How does Fabuwood compare with Cubitac?
Both are stock-tier lines aimed at the same buyer, and the practical difference is usually door style and finish range rather than construction class. Our brand comparison article covers this in detail. The lines we currently stock alongside Fabuwood are Forevermark by TSG, St. Martin, CNC Cabinetry, J and K and Shiloh, so ask a designer to line them up for you in a showroom.
Where can I find a Fabuwood cabinets price list?
Fabuwood does not publish a consumer price list, and dealer PDFs circulating online are outdated. Live pricing for the packages we stock is on each product page, and the price estimator gives you a figure for your own layout.
What is the difference between Galaxy and Luna?
Both are Allure shaker doors. Galaxy is the classic shaker with subtle inner edges; Luna is a slim shaker with a narrower rail, which reads more contemporary. Galaxy is our widest colour range at ten finishes; Luna is offered in five.
Can I order a Fabuwood door sample before I commit?
Yes. The products on this page are door samples for exactly that purpose, and every showroom holds full displays. Seeing a finish under your own lighting is the single cheapest way to avoid a colour regret on a full kitchen.
