Shower Tiles
Shower Tiles by Home Craft Studio
Shower tiles are chosen for constant water exposure. This Shower tile collection covers shower walls, shower floors, steam rooms and wet rooms.
What to Look For in Shower Tiles
Shower tiles need to resist water, give grip on the floor and be easy to clean. The waterproofing behind the tile does most of the water protection, so the tile choice comes down to water absorption, slip resistance on the floor and how much grout there is to clean.
Key Considerations for Shower
- Waterproof: Porcelain and glass absorb very little water; natural stone needs sealing.
- Slip Resistant: Use a matte or textured tile, or small mosaics, on the shower floor.
- Mold Resistant: Non-porous tile and well-sealed grout give mold less to grow on.
- Easy to Clean: Larger tiles mean fewer grout lines to scrub on shower walls.
Ideal Applications
Our Shower tiles are used on shower walls, shower floors, steam rooms and wet rooms where water exposure is constant.
Expert Guidance from Home Craft Studio
Our designers can help you pick shower tile for the walls and floor and show it in a free 3D design. Book a free design consultation at our Clifton, North Bergen, Newark or Brooklyn showroom.
A shower is the least forgiving tile job in the house, because the waterproofing has to be right before the first tile is set. Our shower and tile installation page sets out the order of work and what we need on site.
Specify the shower tile alongside the enclosure and the vanity so the glass, the metal finishes and the tile are agreed in one visit. See shower doors (290 models) and bathroom vanities (214 units, 18 to 84 inches wide).
Glass in a shower
54 tiles in our glass tile collection are listed for shower use. Glass does not absorb water, so the work that decides the result is the waterproofing behind it and a flat substrate, not the tile itself.
