White is the most requested tile colour and the hardest to choose from a screen, because white is not one colour. It runs from cool blue-white through neutral to warm cream, and the difference only becomes obvious once the tile is on the wall next to a cabinet door and a countertop. Matching white to white
The most common mistake is pairing a cool white tile with a warm white cabinet, or the reverse. Bring a door sample and a countertop sample and compare them under the same light. Our white kitchen cabinets and off-white and antique white cabinets collections are the usual reference points.
Finish changes everything
A polished white reflects light and enlarges a small room, but shows water spots. A matte white is calmer and hides splashes. A handmade or handcrafted look white has surface irregularity that reads as warmth. All three are legitimate choices for the same room.
