White Kitchen Cabinets
White Kitchen Cabinets in NJ and Brooklyn
White is the color most kitchen projects start from, and it is also the color where the difference between two doors is hardest to see on a screen. Home Craft Studio carries 28 white door styles across four cabinet lines – Fabuwood, Forevermark (TSG), CNC Cabinetry and J&K Cabinetry – so you can compare a warm off-white against a true bright white, and a solid-wood shaker against a high-gloss slab, side by side rather than one brand at a time.
Door samples are available for the styles on this page, and the ranges are on display across our showrooms in Clifton, North Bergen, Newark and Brooklyn. If you already know the look you want, jump straight to shaker kitchen cabinets, off-white and antique white, or browse the full kitchen cabinet range.
Not Every White Is the Same: Five White Families
Cabinet manufacturers use their own finish names, so the same word can describe two very different whites. Grouping them by undertone is the fastest way to narrow 28 options down to three or four worth sampling.
1. True bright white
Clean, cool, no visible undertone. This is the white that reads as modern and that pairs most predictably with grey-veined quartz. In our range this includes Fabuwood Allure Galaxy Frost, Allure Nexus Frost and Quest Metro Frost, plus CNC Milano Polar White.
2. Soft or warm white
A trace of cream or grey in the paint, which keeps a large white kitchen from feeling clinical under LED lighting. Forevermark Ice White Shaker and Uptown White sit here, along with J&K Pure.
3. Off-white and antique white
Noticeably warmer, often with a glaze or a hand-applied accent in the profile of the door. Forevermark Signature Pearl White and J&K Pearl Glazed are the clearest examples. We keep these grouped separately in off-white and antique white kitchen cabinets because they behave like a different color once a countertop is next to them.
4. Greige and pearl whites
Whites with enough grey in them to bridge into a two-tone scheme. If you are considering a white perimeter with a darker island, start here and cross-reference grey kitchen cabinets for the contrasting run. Forevermark Gramercy White and J&K Dove are the usual picks.
5. High-gloss and lacquered white
A European, handle-light look built on a lacquered or acrylic face rather than painted wood. CNC Alvic Luxe Blanco, Alvic Luxe Blanco Polar and Alvic Luxe Blanco Colonial Pearl, together with Fabuwood Illume Catalina Bianco Gloss and Illume Catalina Bianco Matte, cover this family. See the full modern kitchen cabinet range for the rest.

White Shaker Kitchen Cabinets: the Most Requested Option
Thirteen of the 28 white doors in this collection are shaker or thin-shaker variants, which is why shaker kitchen cabinets has its own buying guide. The part that matters when you are choosing a white shaker specifically is the rail width, because on a white door the frame reads far more strongly than it does on a stained wood door.
Classic shaker versus thin shaker in white
A classic shaker has a rail of roughly 2-1/2 to 3 inches around a recessed center panel. In white it gives a visible frame and a traditional-leaning result: CNC Elegant White uses a five-piece solid wood door with a 3 in. rail and a reversed raised MDF veneer center panel, while CNC Luxor White uses a 2-1/2 in. rail with a 1/2 in. reveal and a slab drawer front.
A thin shaker narrows the rail so the door reads much flatter and more contemporary while keeping the shaker outline. Forevermark Petit White and CNC Versailles White are the thin-shaker whites in our range, and both are catalogued as transitional rather than traditional for exactly that reason.
Which brand to pick for a white shaker
If budget leads, Forevermark Ice White Shaker and Vista White Shaker sit in our entry tier. If you want a solid-wood door frame with a Blum soft-close package as standard, Fabuwood Allure Galaxy Frost is the reference point. If you want a wider rail for a farmhouse-leaning kitchen, Fabuwood Allure Nexus Frost widens the same door. Full brand pages: Fabuwood, Forevermark, CNC Cabinetry and J&K Cabinetry.
Framed or Frameless White Cabinets
White exaggerates the difference between the two box types, because a framed cabinet shows a painted face frame between every door and a frameless one does not.
Framed
A solid hardwood face frame carries the door. Every Fabuwood Allure, Quest and Value door on this page, all of the Forevermark whites and the CNC Elegant, Luxor, Richmond and Park Ave doors are framed. In white this gives the traditional look most NJ and Brooklyn kitchens are built around, and it is more forgiving on out-of-square walls in older buildings.
Frameless
The door mounts directly to the box, so the white face is continuous and the interior opening is wider. Fabuwood Illume Catalina Bianco Matte and Illume Catalina Bianco Gloss are the frameless whites in this collection, built on Threespine engineered furniture board with a Blum Tandembox metal drawer system. Note that Illume uses engineered furniture board rather than plywood for the box – that is a genuine construction difference, not a defect, and it is the trade-off for the frameless slab look at that price.

Pairing Countertops and Backsplash with White Cabinets
White cabinets push the decision onto the two surfaces around them, which is where most of the visual character of the kitchen ends up.
Countertops
A grey-veined quartz is the default partner for a true bright white because the vein supplies contrast without adding a second color. Warmer off-whites generally take a cream or beige-veined stone better. Browse quartz countertops or the full countertop range, and bring a door sample with you rather than deciding from photographs – two whites that match on a screen frequently do not match under a slab.
Backsplash
With white cabinets the backsplash is usually where texture is introduced: a handmade-look ceramic, a stacked or herringbone layout, or a natural stone with movement. See backsplash tiles and kitchen tiles. If you want the backsplash to disappear instead, a white-on-white scheme works best when the tile and the cabinet share an undertone.
Sinks and hardware
Undermount stainless remains the most forgiving choice against a white cabinet run; a fireclay or composite sink in a matching white makes the sink read as part of the cabinetry. See kitchen sinks.
Are White Kitchen Cabinets Out of Style?
No – but the way white is used has changed. The all-white kitchen with white walls, white counters and white tile is much less common than it was, while white cabinetry used as a base and combined with a contrasting island, a wood or stone accent, or a colored backsplash is now the dominant request in our showrooms. The two-tone route is the practical compromise: keep the perimeter white and move the color to the island. Pair this collection with grey kitchen cabinets or with the wider traditional and modern ranges to plan it.
The practical argument for white has not changed either. It is the easiest cabinet color to match later if a door is damaged, it keeps small and interior-facing kitchens brighter, and it is the color with the widest range of door styles available across every brand, which is exactly what makes a like-for-like comparison possible in the first place.
Living with White Cabinets: Cleaning and Yellowing
Everyday cleaning
Warm water and a mild dish soap on a soft cloth, dried immediately, handles almost everything. Avoid abrasive creams, scouring pads, bleach and ammonia-based sprays on painted and lacquered doors – they dull the finish and the damage shows on white before it shows on any other color. On high-gloss lacquered doors such as the Alvic Luxe and Illume Gloss finishes, wipe in one direction with a clean microfiber cloth so you do not leave swirl marks.
Why white doors yellow, and what actually helps
Yellowing on a white door is usually one of three things: cooking grease and nicotine film building up, prolonged direct sunlight on an oil-based or older painted finish, or heat and steam from a kettle, toaster or dishwasher vented straight onto a door face. The first is reversible with degreasing; the second and third are not, which is why extraction, positioning and a factory-applied catalyzed finish matter more than any cleaning routine. Modern factory finishes on the lines above are considerably more color-stable than hand-painted or older oil-based cabinet paint.
Where the wear actually shows
On white cabinetry the first place to age is not the door face – it is the edge next to the handle, the rail under the sink and the toe kick. When comparing samples in the showroom, ask to see the edge banding and the drawer box rather than only the door front.

White Kitchen Cabinet FAQ
What is the most popular white kitchen cabinet style?
White shaker. Across our four cabinet lines the shaker profile accounts for the largest share of white door styles, and within that the classic 2-1/2 to 3 inch rail outsells both the thin shaker and the raised panel. See shaker kitchen cabinets for the full style breakdown.
What is the difference between white and off-white cabinets?
White has little or no undertone and reads cool; off-white and antique white carry a cream or grey undertone and often a glaze in the door profile. The difference is usually invisible on a screen and obvious in a showroom, which is why we list them as separate collections: white and off-white and antique white.
Do white cabinets need plywood boxes?
Not necessarily, but it changes what you are buying. Most of the white doors on this page sit on plywood boxes; the Fabuwood Illume frameless slab uses engineered furniture board with a Threespine construction and a Blum metal drawer system instead. Both are current manufacturer specifications, and the right answer depends on whether you want the frameless look or the plywood carcase.
Which white cabinets are best for a small kitchen?
A frameless or thin-shaker white gives the flattest face and the widest interior opening, so Fabuwood Illume, Forevermark Petit White and CNC Versailles White are the usual recommendations. A high-gloss face such as CNC Milano Polar White or Alvic Luxe Blanco adds reflected light, at the cost of showing fingerprints more readily.
Can I mix white cabinets with a darker island?
Yes, and it is currently the most requested layout. Keep the door style identical across both runs and change only the finish, so the two-tone reads as deliberate. Cross-reference grey kitchen cabinets for the island.
How do I stop white cabinets yellowing?
Control grease, heat and direct sunlight rather than relying on cleaning. Good extraction, not venting a kettle or toaster straight at a door, and a factory-applied catalyzed finish do more than any product. Routine cleaning is warm water and mild dish soap, dried straight away, with no bleach, ammonia or abrasives.
Are white cabinet samples available to take home?
Door samples are available for the styles on this page. Note that special-order samples in the CNC Alvic Luxe line are non-returnable. Ask at any of our four showrooms.
What countertop goes with white shaker cabinets?
A grey or soft-grey veined quartz is the safest pairing for a bright white shaker; warmer whites usually take a cream-veined stone better. Compare options in quartz countertops and bring the door sample with you.
