Quartz Countertops
Quartz Countertops at Home Craft Studio
This collection holds 355 quartz countertop slabs from four manufacturers, and every one of them can be seen in person at a Home Craft Studio showroom in New Jersey or Brooklyn before you commit to it. Quartz is an engineered surface: natural quartz crystal is bound with resin and pigment, pressed and cured, so the slab arrives non-porous, consistent from one slab to the next, and sealed for life. That is the practical difference between quartz and the natural marble and natural stone we also stock, and it is why quartz has become the default choice for busy kitchens.
If you are still deciding between materials, start with the countertop buying guide and the quartz vs quartzite comparison. If you already know you want quartz, the sections below break the 355 slabs down by brand, colour, finish, pattern and slab size so you can shortlist before you walk into a showroom.
The collection in numbers
| Brand | Slabs in this collection | What it is known for | Browse |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cambria | 159 | American-made quartz, the deepest colour range we carry | Cambria countertops |
| MSI Surfaces | 114 | Broad everyday palette, widest finish variety | MSI Surfaces |
| Caesarstone | 48 | Concrete, textured and outdoor-rated designs | Caesarstone countertops |
| Vadara | 34 | Oversized slabs and high-movement veining | Vadara countertops |
Our wider countertops range adds porcelain countertops alongside these quartz lines, and the countertop tiles and quartz tiles collections cover smaller-format surfacing for vanities and utility areas.
The Four Quartz Brands We Carry
Cambria quartz (159 slabs)
Cambria is the largest quartz line in the collection and the one with the most design range, from near-solid whites through to heavily veined marble-look designs and genuinely dark colours. Within our Cambria stock, 19 slabs are flagged as Signature Series and 13 as Luxury Series, which is Cambria's own tiering of pattern complexity rather than a difference in the material itself. Thickness availability varies by design: most are offered in 2 cm and 3 cm, and a subset is also available in 1 cm on longer lead times. Popular examples in stock include Blackpool and Golden Dragon. See the full line on the Cambria collection or the Cambria gallery page.
MSI Surfaces quartz (114 slabs)
MSI is the workhorse of the collection and carries the widest spread of finishes, including polished, natural, concrete, brushed and glossy options on the same colour families. It is also where most of our white and light-grey marble-look designs sit, which is the single most requested look in the New Jersey and New York kitchens we design. Examples in stock include Calacatta Lapiza, Calico White, Stellar White, Snow White, Vena Carbona and the soapstone-look Soapstone Mist. MSI also supplies a large part of our tile catalogue, so if you want the countertop and the backsplash tile to come from one manufacturer, browse MSI tiles and countertops or the MSI surfaces page and the MSI kitchen lookbook.
Caesarstone quartz (48 slabs)
Caesarstone is the most design-led line we stock and the one to look at if you want something other than a marble-look white. Our Caesarstone slabs are split across the brand's own groupings: Premium Collection (8), Standard Collection (5), Supernatural Ultra (2), Supernatural (1), Outdoor Collection (2) and Essentials (1), with the rest ungrouped. It is also the only line in the collection with purpose-made concrete-look finishes such as 4003 Sleek Concrete, alongside classic designs like 5111 Statuario Nuvo, 5131 Calacatta Nuvo, 1111 Vivid White, 5143 White Attica, 6141 Ocean Foam, 6600 Nougat and the deep 4120 Raven. Caesarstone slabs in this collection are supplied in 2 cm and 3 cm. See the Caesarstone collection or the Caesarstone gallery.
Vadara quartz (34 slabs)
Vadara is the specialist choice for large, uninterrupted runs. Every Vadara slab in this collection is polished and supplied in an oversized 63 in x 126 in format, in 2 cm (538 lbs / 244 kg) or 3 cm (807 lbs / 366 kg). That extra slab length is what makes an island top without a seam, or a waterfall edge possible without a joint in a visible place. Our Vadara stock is grouped into Threads of Nature (7), Hidden Inspiration (6), Infusions (5), Ebbs and Flows (3) and Divine Natural Majesty (1). Examples include Carrara V509 and Calacatta Dorada V727. Browse the Vadara collection or the Vadara gallery.
Quartz Countertop Colours: How the 355 Slabs Break Down
Every slab in the collection is tagged with a colour spectrum, which is the fastest way to narrow 355 options down to a realistic shortlist.
| Colour spectrum | Slabs | Share | Typical use | Browse |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light | 252 | 71% | Perimeter runs, small kitchens, white and grey cabinetry | Light colour countertops |
| Medium | 53 | 15% | Warm neutral schemes, wood-tone cabinetry | Medium colour countertops |
| Dark | 40 | 11% | Islands, contrast tops, dramatic bathrooms | Dark colour countertops |
Those three collections span our whole countertop catalogue rather than quartz alone, which is useful if you want to compare a quartz slab against a porcelain one in the same tone.
White and light quartz countertops
White quartz is the single busiest request in this category, and 252 of our 355 slabs sit in the light spectrum. Most of them are marble-look designs, which is exactly why people choose quartz over real marble: you get the veining without the etching risk that comes with a calcite-based stone. Light quartz pairs most naturally with white kitchen cabinets and shaker kitchen cabinets, and it is the safest choice when the kitchen has limited natural light.
Dark quartz countertops
The 40 dark slabs are mostly used on islands or as a deliberate contrast against light cabinetry. Examples in stock include 3100 Jet Black, 4120 Raven, Sparkling Black and the soapstone-look Soapstone Metropolis. Dark quartz shows dust and water marks more readily than light quartz, so a matte or textured finish is usually the better call here than a high polish.
Accent colour families
Beyond the light / medium / dark split, slabs in this collection carry an accent colour, which is the undertone that will either agree or argue with your cabinet finish. Across the 355 slabs the accent distribution is grey 62, brown 32, gold 27, white 16, taupe 13, yellow 9, blue 8, rust 6, green 4, beige 4 and black 4. The practical takeaway is that grey, brown and gold undertones cover roughly two thirds of the range, so if your cabinetry is a warm wood or a grey painted finish there is a large pool to choose from. For current colour direction, the 2026 kitchen colour palette article covers how these undertones are being used this year.
Finishes Available in This Collection
Finish changes how a quartz slab reads far more than most people expect. The same colour in matte and in polished can look like two different products. Across the slabs in this collection that carry a finish attribute, the split is:
- Polished (77) - reflective, deepens colour, the standard kitchen finish
- Matte (26) - flat and soft, hides fingerprints, strongest on dark colours
- Natural (23) - low-sheen, closest to honed natural stone
- Textured (19) - tactile surface relief, used on stone-look and soapstone-look designs
- Concrete (14) - industrial cement look, almost entirely Caesarstone
- Satin (11) - between matte and polished, Cambria only
- Glossy (4), Brushed (2), Honed (1) - specialist finishes on individual designs
Cambria carries the most finish variety in the collection (polished 27, matte 24, satin 11, textured 11, natural 4, concrete 1), MSI is next (natural 18, polished 17, concrete 5, glossy 3, matte 2, textured 2, brushed 2), Caesarstone concentrates on concrete and textured finishes, and every Vadara slab we stock is polished.
Slab Sizes, Thickness and Weight
Slab size decides where your seams land, so it matters more than it sounds. The slab formats recorded against this collection are:
| Slab format | Slabs | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 132 in x 65.5 in | 139 | Jumbo format, the most common size in this collection |
| 63 in x 126 in | 34 | Vadara oversized format |
| 122 in x 55.5 in | 20 | Standard format |
On thickness, 2 cm and 3 cm are the two standards across all four brands. A subset of Cambria designs is additionally offered in 1 cm on a longer lead time, and Vadara publishes slab weights of 538 lbs at 2 cm and 807 lbs at 3 cm, which is a useful reminder that island slabs need the cabinet run and subfloor to be correct before templating. If you are building the cabinetry at the same time, the kitchen cabinets guide and the kitchen cabinets collection are the right starting points.
Pattern: Veined, Speckled, Solid and Industrial
Where pattern is recorded on these slabs, the breakdown is veined 28, industrial 8, speckled 8 and solid 4. Veined designs are the marble-look family and are what most buyers mean when they ask for a Calacatta or Statuario quartz. Speckled designs read closer to granite and hide crumbs and water marks better than anything else in the range. Solid colours are the most contemporary and the least forgiving. Industrial designs are the concrete-look group, almost all Caesarstone.
One pattern decision that is easy to miss: if you run the same slab up the wall as a counterplash, a heavily veined design will need to be dry-laid and approved before it is cut, because the veining has to line up across the joint. A speckled or solid slab removes that risk entirely.
Quartz Compared With the Other Countertop Materials We Stock
| Material | Porosity | Sealing | Pattern consistency | Heat tolerance | Browse |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quartz (engineered) | Non-porous | Never needs sealing | Very consistent slab to slab | Use a trivet; resin can scorch | Quartz countertops |
| Marble (natural) | Porous | Periodic sealing | Every slab unique | High | Marble |
| Porcelain | Non-porous | Never needs sealing | Printed, very consistent | High | Porcelain countertops |
| Natural stone | Varies | Usually required | Every slab unique | High | Natural stone |
The honest summary is that quartz wins on maintenance and predictability, natural stone wins on individuality, and porcelain wins on heat. For a longer treatment of the quartz-versus-natural-stone decision, read quartz vs quartzite and the most popular countertops of 2025.
What Actually Drives the Cost of a Quartz Countertop
Slab price per square foot is only one of the inputs, and it is rarely the one that moves a quote the most. The variables that change a quartz countertop budget are:
- Thickness - a 3 cm top uses materially more stone than a 2 cm top
- Total square footage and layout - an L-shaped run with an island costs more to fabricate than a single straight run of the same area
- Seams - how many, and whether the slab format lets you avoid one in a visible place
- Edge profile - a square or eased edge is the baseline; mitred, bullnose and ogee profiles add labour
- Cutouts - sinks, cooktops, faucet holes and outlets each add fabrication time
- Pattern matching - book-matching a veined slab across a joint or a waterfall is skilled work
- Demolition and disposal of the existing top
For a structured way to budget the whole project rather than just the countertop, use the kitchen price estimator and read the hidden costs of kitchen renovations. We also run a price match guarantee and financing, and trade customers should look at the contractor program.
How to Shortlist a Quartz Countertop in Six Steps
- Fix the cabinet finish first. The countertop is chosen against the cabinetry, not the other way round. Browse kitchen cabinets, white, grey, modern or traditional ranges.
- Pick a spectrum. Light, medium or dark. This alone cuts 355 slabs to a manageable set.
- Pick a pattern family. Veined, speckled, solid or industrial.
- Pick a finish. Polished for depth, matte or natural for a softer modern look.
- Check slab size against your layout so you know where a seam would have to fall.
- See the full slab in person. A 4 in sample never shows the scale of the veining. This is the step people skip and regret.
Our kitchen visualizer and design services cover steps one to four, and our completed countertop projects and countertop inspiration gallery show how these slabs look at full size in finished kitchens.
Templating, Fabrication and Installation
A quartz countertop is made to measure. The sequence is the same regardless of brand: cabinets go in and are levelled, a template is taken from the installed cabinetry, the slab is cut and the edge profile and cutouts are machined, then the top is set and the seams are joined and polished on site. Because the template comes after the cabinets, the countertop is one of the last elements to land in a kitchen project, and the lead time between template and install is what usually determines your finish date. Plan the backsplash tile at the same time, since it is installed after the countertop and against it. More on sequencing is in our renovation planning guide, and our installation service page covers the service side.
Care and Maintenance
Quartz is the lowest-maintenance surface in this catalogue. It is non-porous, so it never needs sealing and will not absorb wine, oil or citrus the way an unsealed natural stone can. Day to day it needs warm water and a mild detergent, nothing more. The three things that do damage quartz are heat, abrasives and strong alkaline or bleach-based cleaners, all of which attack the resin binder rather than the quartz itself. Always use a trivet under pans straight off the hob, and never use a scouring pad on a polished finish. There is a fuller routine in how to take care of kitchen surfaces, and the cabinet equivalent is in how to take care of kitchen cabinets.

Quartz Countertop FAQs
How many quartz colours can I choose from here?
355 quartz slabs across four brands: Cambria 159, MSI Surfaces 114, Caesarstone 48 and Vadara 34. 252 of them sit in the light colour spectrum, 53 in medium and 40 in dark.
Does quartz need to be sealed?
No. Quartz is engineered with a resin binder that makes the finished slab non-porous, so there is nothing for a sealer to penetrate. That is the main day-to-day advantage over natural marble and most natural stone.
Can you put a hot pan on a quartz countertop?
Use a trivet. Quartz handles normal kitchen warmth without trouble, but direct contact with a pan straight off a burner can scorch or discolour the resin, and that damage is permanent. If you want a surface that takes direct heat, look at porcelain countertops instead.
What thickness should I choose, 2 cm or 3 cm?
Both are stocked across all four brands. 3 cm gives a heavier, more substantial edge and is the usual choice for islands and for mitred or waterfall details. 2 cm is lighter and is often built up at the edge to read thicker. A subset of Cambria designs is also available in 1 cm on a longer lead time.
Which quartz looks most like marble?
The veined designs, which are the largest pattern group in the collection. Caesarstone Statuario and Calacatta designs and the MSI Calacatta family are the closest matches, and the oversized Vadara slabs are the ones to use when you want a long run of veining without a seam interrupting it.
How many seams will my countertop have?
That depends on your layout and on the slab format. The jumbo 132 in x 65.5 in slabs that make up most of this collection, and the 63 in x 126 in Vadara format, both allow longer uninterrupted runs than a standard slab. Seam positions are agreed at templating, after the cabinets are installed.
Can I use the same quartz for the backsplash?
Yes, and it is one of the strongest looks of 2026. Running the countertop material up the wall is covered in our counterplash guide. If you prefer a separate material, the backsplash tile, mosaic tile, subway tile and marble-look tile collections are the usual partners.
Do you have quartz countertops near me?
If you are in northern New Jersey or New York City, yes. Our showrooms are in Clifton, North Bergen, Newark and Brooklyn, and all four stock quartz alongside cabinetry and kitchen tile so you can build the whole scheme in one visit.
